27 people - including 18 elementary-school-aged children - were killed today by a gunman at an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut.
Throughout my life...there have been so many shootings, and attempted shootings - Columbine, Virginia Tech (twice), attempted at Pottstown High School, the movie-theatre shooting, and now this elementary school. Of all of them though, this has apparently been the most deadly.
I can't fathom what would make a person do something like what that man did, and right now I have no words for it or for what I'm feeling.
I just want to say that my heart goes out to those lives lost, to their families, to the school community, and to the entirety of Newtown, Connecticut.
