The Things I Need

When everything feels like crap, and I think I'm running out of the time I think I need so badly...I make lists.
I outline my life in words, pictures, ideas...
So today, here is a list of the things I need right now.

(1)

(2)
Cheerios and chocolate.  Because who doesn't need those things?
And coincidentally, I have both.

(3)
How I Met Your Mother

(4)
Green trees. Colorful flowers.  Blue sky.  Bright, beautiful sunshine.
Okay...maybe it's a not so much on that last one right now, but at least the life outside my window is finally starting to bloom.

Here
(5)
Friends who remind me to just. breathe.

Oh so Quotable

After a weekend of being away, I'm sure you're all on the edges of your seats waiting to hear what I've been up to lately, so I won't keep you waiting....

Listening to Passenger.  Specifically, this song - they're just so incredibly good!  Do yourself a huge favor, and take a listen.

Working all weekend.  But I like it - I love waitressing, and I've missed it :)
Eating buffalo chicken fingers.  I know they're awful for me, but they taste so good, I just can't stop myself!  And the fries that come on the side...well, those are just an added bonus
Loving that I reached my goal of 100 followers over the weekend!  Thank you guys so much, and if you haven't already - check out Good Day Sunshine's Bloglovin.

Anticipating less than two weeks from now when I get to move in with my friends to our first apartment!  I'm so excited, it's ridiculous!  Tips on a first apartment, anyone?
Wishing the warm weather would stay, and these 30-40 degree days would just disappear until November.  It's almost MAY!
Quoting F Scott Fitzgerald and Shakespeare.  These are my favorite quotes of the moment:

Wondering what your favorite quotes are?  I love hearing new ones!

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss

"I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells.  Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living."
- Dr. Seuss

Dr. Seuss would be 108 years old today, and it's incredible to me that a man who wrote his first book, To Think That I Saw it on Mulberry Street was published in 1937 (credit to Google for helping me figure that out), is still being read today in 2012.
As a kid, Dr. Seuss books were a staple of my personal library, and I still can't wait to see the new movie coming out based on one of his books!  He's been a part of almost every childhood since he started writing, and I think that he will be for a long time.

So happy birthday, Dr. Seuss!!!

What's your favorite Dr. Seuss book? Mine is "Oh the Places You'll Go" - I still stop to read it in the store every May when they start selling them for graduating seniors!

My Word Collection

"No matter what anyone tells you, words and ideas can change the world"
-The Dead Poet's Society

I'm not sure why, but I've always loved quotes.  Whether from a movie, a poem, a song, a book, or just something I heard somebody say, I hold on to the words that mean something to me.  I guess you could say I collect words.  Thoughts, and ideas, and words.
Maybe it's something about the insight into life that they seem to offer, or the varying perspectives that I gain from reading them.  Or maybe it's just gathering inspiration
from someone else's words and beliefs.
In high-school, I used to love notebooks.  I'd hoard as many of them as I could find, and in them I'd collect thoughts and ideas - both my own, and those of others.  At one point, I kept a notebook filled with quotes that I loved.  Now, I just keep those quotes in a little notebook that fits easily into my coat pocket, the words like neighbors to my own thoughts and ideas.
One day, I hope that I'll have said something worth quoting.  Something that somebody else will garner inspiration from.  But for now, I'll keep collecting those quotes which I come across and find interesting or insightful.  Those words which often come to me at night while I'm thinking, or which prove themselves useful when I need advice and have found none readily available to me.

"Words are, in my not so humble opinion, the most inexhaustible source of magic; capable of both inflicting injury and remedying it."
-J. K. Rowling (Dumbledore)

So how about you?  Are there any quotes that you particularly love, or have to read over a few times every time you see them?
